My dog was diagnosed with Diabetes in October 2025 (Columbus Ga), my former VET told me I needed to hospitalize him for several days to get it under control! My response was “ That’s not an option “! So I went with option 2 & contacted Dr. Phil Carey (referred by my former Vet) & I wish I had found him 13 years ago!! He spent over an hour explaining how to take care of our dog at home, showed us how to give him his insulin injections, & how to change his diet! Words can never express how grateful we are to him for teaching us how to care for our 14 year old “ Fur Baby “ at home- (14 days monitoring his glucose levels with a sensor on his side) and he emailed me throughout the process, checking on him & advising us on what to do based on the glucose readings! It’s an easy drive to Ellerslie (20 minutes) and you & your pet will NOT receive better care anywhere!! Dr. Carey & his staff (Especially Gladys) are a 5 Star Team!!

Safe, Seamless, and Stress-Free Curbside Service
To ensure a smooth experience and a calm environment for our patients, we currently operate using a curbside service model.
- Arrival: When you arrive for your appointment, please remain in your vehicle and give us a call.
- Pet Valet: A member of our team will come directly to your car to greet you and safely bring your pet inside for their exam.
- Communication: While your pet is being treated, the doctor or assistant will come back out to your vehicle to discuss findings, treatment plans, and answer any questions you may have.
- Safety First: This process keeps our lobby quiet and reduces anxiety for pets who may be nervous in a traditional waiting room setting.
