MEET OUR STAFF
Meg, along with Dr. Carey, helped open up Vet to Pet Services in 2013. A former high school teacher with a Masters Degree in English Education, she has a varied background in business administration and the pet retail industry. She also has extensive experience in fundraising and leadership, serving as Co-Chair of the Junior League Attic Sale in 2012 and 2013. When Meg is not up at the clinic, she is busy with her three children or playing with her dogs - Tiny, Junior, Lilly, Cody, Tater and Lucy or her cats Finn and Thundercat, her pig Bubba or caring for her silly guinea fowl and chickens. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to good music, yoga, refinishing furniture, and mountain bike riding.
RECEPTIONIST & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Locals from Columbus might recognize Gladys by her other name, "The Toy Lady." As the former owner and operator of Main Street Toy Shop, she has years of experience in business management and retail services. Gladys excels at customer service, as she is the smiling face waiting to greet you at the clinic door! She enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, camping, gardening or reading books. At home Gladys likes to relax with her cats Clara and Bubba.
Coming to Vet to Pet at first as an observer interested in studying veterinary medicine, Donielle is now a full-fledged member of our team. This busy lady spends most of her time at Columbus State University working towards a degree in Biology or helping out with the ROAR orientation team. Donielle hopes to attend Tuskegee Veterinary School after graduation, but in the meantime she is getting first-hand experience at the clinic as a technician. When she has some down time, she enjoys reading, traveling, enjoying fine cusine, or cuddling up with her two dogs - Chyna and Teddye!
JamiLee came to Vet to Pet as a work-study student in high school. Now as a full-fledged member of our team, she is training as a veterinary technician and currently attending Columbus State Univeristy with asperations to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. When Jamilee isn't busy with school or up at the clinic, she relaxes by drawing and painting, fishing, and shopping or going to the movies with friends. At home, she loves to hang out with her fur babies - kitties Tigger, L.C. & Lilo, and pups Lilah, Sky and Reese.
MARY KATHRYN WRIGHT
Mary Kathryn first started coming up to Vet to Pet as an observer interested in the veterinary field, but we were all excited to have her join our team as a veterinary assistant. She worked with us during her undergraduate studies at Columbus State University, and is currently in veterinary school at the University of Georgia! She continues to help out at Vet to Pet when she is on vacation or during the summer. When Mary Kathryn isn't studying, observing or working at the clinic, she enjoys painting, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Mary Kathryn also likes to pet sit, and her favorite breed of dog is the Australian Shepherd.
Budro and Tye are our resident office kitties. Budro travels around the clinic and outside most of the day, but if you want to see him all you have to do is eat, as he is quite the table scrap junkie! He also doubles as our spare clinic heating pad, because he loves to snuggle up against cat-friendly patients recovering in Dr. Carey's office. Tye is our clinic clown! He loves to entertain folks in the waiting room with a friendly game of "bat the client." Tye loves to fool around in the windows and blinds, oftentimes providing comedic relief for customers and passersby alike!
